I had heard this was being done and some visitors said they had bought some last fall but until Mami Brittany bought some and brought them home last week I think I was wishing they were not real. Dirt cookies. People mix margarine, salt and dirt and sell them. Brittany said the lady told her "pregnant women love them!"
Jen, I've read about people eating dirt but did not realize that people made dirt cookies and actually sold them. With food being so "cheap" here in North America, it's hard to imagine buying dirt because you cannot afford anything else.
